My honeymoon was cut short because some sadistic bastard hurt my daughters.

I have never felt quite so willing to rip someone limb from limb before in my life. Woe be to anyone to touches my girls.

I'm home now. Zoe's worried and Fiona's not talking and Hope's coughing and I'm terrified she's going to catch pneumonia so we're monitoring her carefully.

How could someone hurt them?!

Oh, Elizabeth. I wish I had the answers for you. I don't, though. I don't think any amount of wisdom can make us understand a man like that. And well we may not want to.

I'm so sorry he ruined so much. Hope will be alright. Your brother owns a hospital, and she will never be lacking in the very best parenting, or medical attention. After what Fiona went through, her silence isn't surprising. She probably just needs to deal with it at her own pace, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't encourage her to talk when she's ready. But really, you know all this anyway. You're one of the best there is at taking care of people. Your daughters couldn't be in better hands.

She knows we'll listen when she's ready. I'm just afraid she won't be ready. I worry for her. For all of them. And I wish I'd been here when it happened.

Yes... I worry about that too. You got here as soon as you could, Liz. I know it will mean so much to them that you came back from your honeymoon to be with them. You haven't done anything wrong. You've done everything right, sweetheart. You're a fantastic mother, and your girls are very lucky.

I'm so sorry I didn't know about it when it happened! I was dealing with another crisis... there are far too many of those. If you think I could help anyone by visiting there, I shall. Goddess... of all the people... I cannot understand why one would hurt Hope and Fiona.
